Theoretical Biophysics Research Group

Open positions

Graduate students, undergraduates, and postdocs interested in joining the group should contact me at: mxh605@case.edu. No previous biophysics background is necessary, but the prospective student should be mathematically inclined and open to learning a wide variety of theoretical approaches: polymer field theories, stochastic differential equations, coarse-grained numerical modeling, as well as picking up a bit of biology on the fly. Part of the excitement of the field is the close development of theory together with cutting-edge experimental techniques to visualize biomolecules, and we will be pursuing collaborations with biomedical researchers both at CWRU and outside. To get a flavor of the kinds of work we are doing, visit the research overview.
